Based on the theory that children learn through play, the preschool’s primary objective is to provide a secure and loving environment in which children are actively involved and free to explore and create.  The daily routine is designed to balance structure and free choice with active and quiet time.  Bridging the gap from home to school, the staff focuses on developing self-esteem while building social skills in a school setting.  Sensory motor, perceptual and language skills are introduced through materials and activities which are both child-centered and teacher-directed.  These concrete, hands-on experiences are planned according to a calendar of themes and units which are relevant to the children.  Emphasis is on the process rather than the produce, fostering a sense of accomplishment and pride.
